Decided I want to buy myself a Jeep for my birthday and all I want is an unlimited sport with a 6mt, the tow package, and a hard top. None of those options are searchable in the vehicle locator page. NONE! Its basically, do you want a Jeep Y or N. If Yes, this website will tell you if your local Jeep dealer sells Jeeps...

TERRIBLE!!!

Side blurb: Even worse is that my local dealers online sales person has no clue what a manual transmission is.

You're probably gonna have to build to order that.

Sounds like a pretty nice problem to have.

Yeah, their website is shite.

And my local dealer is equally idiotic. Last year when I was considering whether to get a single car to handle both my off-road and DD needs, or two cars (one for off-road, one to DD) I went in to the dealership and asked them to show me the Rubicons. The salesman literally said to me "Why do you want a Rubicon? The only real difference is the gear ratios." First of all, why the hell was he down-selling me? Second of all, he just proved to me that he didn't know the first fucking thing about the product he was selling and I immediately stopped listening to anything else he had to say.

Yea, I'd be willing to make sacrifices too if they could come close (just not the manual) but there are 4 dealers in town (although I wouldnt say close) and I would rather know where my best bet is rather than play the "drive around for 200 miles to find out who has the manuals" game.

I went through this years ago when I bought my Chevy Colorado. I wanted a manual, the inline five engine, and nothing else. I could get it crazy loaded or with an automatic, but not manual and stripped. Eventually I told the dealer over email, this is what I want. Find it, have it transferred to the dealership and I will buy it. I had it in a week, but it came from 150 miles away. I was told it was the only one like that they could find in the west.

I also thought I could do the offroad/DD option, then I ripped off my diff guard the one day and thought, "yeah not so much".

Yeah, I opted for the two car route as well. It's much better this way.

What really sold it for my fiancé was one the one trip to Rauch creek I took her too, my buddy sunk his truck in 7 feet of water. So the risk of us having to trailer our trucks home is there.

Although in his defense he thought he was a 3 ponds but was instead at a place called abyss.

You can buy from any dealer and have it shipped to the one closest to you. Good luck and happy Jeeping.

If you're buying brand new, can't you spec it out the way you want?

Also, if you can't get a manual transmission Wrangler, then get the RHD version! Yes you can actually order RHD from the factory, but the only problem is that it's automatic-only. I've always wanted a RHD Jeep just to troll all the JDM rice kids

You have to build it first with all of the options you want via Build and Price. Once you have everything configured, there should be an option to find this jeep. It will bring back a ton of things that are either spot on or close based on the options (finding the liberty i wanted without the chrome package was almost in possible, but this helped).

The lease on our 2011 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with Freedom Top is ending in a couple months. It's green, 27k miles, but has the minivan engine and 4 speed auto :(
